Verdacity’s daylight modeling service provides project teams with data to inform building orientation, architectural fenestration, energy use, and occupant comfort. We prepare simple box iterations during the conceptual design phase to assess opaque and translucent massing and inform systems selection. As the design evolves, we utilize advanced modeling techniques to evaluate annual solar exposure and spatial daylight autonomy. This gives an accurate picture of how the building is going to perform in real time. Upon completion, we take field measurements that verify performance recommendations have been met.
