SITE & CLIMATE ASSESSMENT

Verdacity’s integrative design process begins with a careful evaluation of a site’s ecological, cultural, and historical context. Our site assessments provide early insight into opportunities and constraints that shape thoughtful, resilient design decisions—such as locating community gardens where soils are most viable, placing outdoor gathering areas near mature trees or natural water features, orienting buildings to maximize solar access and prevailing winds, and determining the most effective placement for rainwater management systems. Conducted during conceptual design, this analysis can reduce project costs and risks, enhance occupant well‑being, and honor the unique character of each site.

As part of our integrative approach, Verdacity also performs early‑phase water supply and demand analyses that align with project program goals. Demand considerations include indoor fixture use, irrigation needs, and process water, while supply sources may include rainwater, graywater, condensate capture, and municipal systems. Our goal is to guide teams toward site‑appropriate water strategies that move projects closer to net‑zero potable water use.

Through this holistic process, Verdacity helps project teams create places that are resource‑efficient, environmentally responsive, and deeply connected to their natural context.
